Early Return Rewards Program

Earn frequent flyer miles by joining Frontier Airlines Early Returns Frequent Flyer Program.

How well are you rewarded for your loyalty?

The Frontier Airlines Early Returns Frequent Flyer program is a fairly decent one.  We like the fact that when you sign up you instantly receive 500 bonus miles. The Early Returns program offers many vendor partners in earning points from credit cards, car rentals, hotels, shopping and more. Members are able to purchase miles, gift miles or transfer miles to other Frontier Airline Early Returns members. There are three levels of membership; Base Level, Ascent Level and Summit Level.

The Membership Benefits Chart is a helpful tool for members to view the many perks that all three offer and can help members to gauge how to achieve the next level. All members have online account access to view points earned, membership level achieved, make reservations and redeem miles. Early Returns allows new members to get credit for previous flights up to 180 days prior to signing up. Applying for the Frontier Airlines MasterCard can get you up to 45,000 bonus miles on qualifying transactions.

Early Returns has recently suspended its Charitable Program. We would like to see that reinstated so members can choose to donate their miles to a worthy cause. Many frequent flyer programs offer options to redeem points for other goods and services such as hotel stays and vacation packages. The Early Returns program does not offer this to members.
Early Return Miles do expire  if members do not  generate accrual activity in their account for more than 24 months.Members whose miles have been expired due to two years of inactivity have an opportunity to reinstate expired miles for a fee of a penny per mile.

“Elite Levels”

There are 2 Elite Levels that the Early Returns Frequent Flyer Program offers; Ascent Level and Summit Level. We feel the Elite  Level benefits are fair in comparison to other Elite level programs out there that offer more benefits. ”Select”,  ”Stretch” and “Reserved” seating only allows travel companions to get the same benefit at Summit Level. We feel that it would make more sense if these companion perks were available to Ascent level as well.

Summit Level disappoints a little in the extra perks as compared to Ascent Level. There really isn’t much more offered when you achieve Summit Level besides the 50% bonus point earnings.

The following is a breakdown on what is offered for Early Returns Elite Members:

Bonus Points for Elite Levels:

Ascent Level – 25% bonus points -

“Credit Card Partner Program”

The Frontier Airlines MasterCard gives members an option to choose a no annual fee card. There is a business card available as well. We like that members can choose which card will suit them best. The cards that offer an annual fee does give more points towards miles, so if you are an avid traveler, it would probably make more sense to pay the annual fee and get the extra miles on purchases. The following is what the different cards offer:

*25,000 bonus miles after first purchase
*Up to 10,000 bonus miles for balance transfers (transfer must occur within the first 90 days)
*Double miles on all Frontier purchases

Frontier Airlines MasterCard with no annual fee:
*5,000 bonus miles after first purchase

“Program Quality” = FAIR

The Quality of the Frontier Airlines Early Returns frequent flyer program is of “Fair” quality. There are many options to earn miles and achieve elite membership status. The website provides a complete list of partner vendors. Members can shop for services and goods for every day purchases while earning miles. The membership benefit chart is a helpful tool to track and set goals for obtaining enough miles for free flights. We would have liked to see an option for members to be able to redeem points for other goods and services besides flights with partner vendors.

“Flyer Miles Earned/Frequent Flyer Program:

Earn miles with booking flights through Frontier Airlines and its vendor partners. A complete list of vendor partners is provided on the website. There are 3 tier levels that members can achieve to earn even more benefits. All 3 tiers give the following basic earnings:
